Overview

Clear Capture is a receipt scanning and expense organisation app for iPhone. It does not require an account or sign-in, and it does not track you.

Your receipts stay on your iPhone

Receipt images and the details you save (merchant, amount, tax, date, category, notes) are stored only on your device. Clear Capture has no server that receives or stores your receipts, and no receipt data is ever sent to AppsRocket or any third party.

The camera and photo library are used only to capture or import receipt images, with your permission, and only on your device. Text recognition (reading the total, tax and date from a receipt) happens entirely on-device using Apple's built-in frameworks.

When you export a CSV file or PDF report, the file is created locally on your iPhone. If you then share a file, it is subject to the privacy policy of the service you share it with.

iOS may include app data in an iCloud or computer backup depending on your device settings. This is controlled by Apple and your settings, not by Clear Capture.

No tracking

Clear Capture does not track you. It never requests the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA), does not use App Tracking Transparency because no data is used to track you across apps or websites, and contains no analytics SDKs.

Advertising

The free version of Clear Capture shows small banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob in some countries. These ads are non-personalised. No ads are shown to users on European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland App Store accounts.

To serve and measure ads, Google may process limited technical information from your device, such as your IP address and general device information. This processing is described in Google's privacy documentation.

An optional one-time "Remove Ads" purchase permanently removes all advertising. The purchase is processed by Apple; AppsRocket never sees your payment details.

Data we do not collect

Clear Capture does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal information. There is no account system, no analytics, and no data linked to your identity.

This website

The statements above describe the app. This website (appsrocket.com) is separate: it uses Google Analytics to count page visits, and only if you accept cookies. If you decline, nothing is loaded and nothing is measured. Details are on the AppsRocket legal page.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be made available at this URL before the corresponding app update is released.
